Why fashion forecasting is important.


There are lots of debate that we should not opt for fashion forecasting as fashion market is the most volatile market and specially for the women's wear sector. Yes you all are right women's fashion market is really very volatile but still fashion trend forecasting is the important tool to beat the competition.
But lets start to understand what is fashion forecasting. I have been working as trend forecaster for more than 4 years, I have been involved as trend researcher where we were working for how to be more accurate in trend prediction. Lets first get to know what is Trend.

Fashion Trend forecasting is understanding consumers demand for the mass fashion to luxury fashion in the sector of men's and women's market, its marketing analysis not just the guess work, its just not anticipation or imagination its involve runway-street-retail analysis with the validation from consumers psychological changes due to current sociological , economic and technological demo-graphical changes.
Everyday consumer is getting exposed to new Idea, new invention, the rise of social networking and web impacted the mood of consumers, the Trend Influences (Actors, Political leaders, celebrities) influence consumers psychology, they want to look better, more glamorous but for better style and glamorous look economical conditions comes into play, the consumers buying capacity decides the market growth, pricing strategy.

At f-trend we developed the tool which is more scientific and based on mathematical statistic to know who is the fashion leader, who is the real influencer, we analyze the current purchasing capacity of consumers based on age group, sex, and the most popular color, silhouette and print trend.
